It is, in reality, 2 dashes, one immediately after the other. Add in step 15a which explains how to go into the Custom distribution and DESELECT the Kerberos libraries and distribution - as of FreeBSD 4.2, Kerberos authentication has been installed by default in FreeBSD, and in most FreeBSD servers in corporate environments on private networks, Kerberos adds no additional functionality and can cause problems if left unconfigured.
Or, create and edit an .xinitrc file in a user's home directory to change it for that user. The system xinitrc file can be used as a template to create a .xinitrc file for a user if they don't already have one.
